While Hitman 2 has a DLC that includes remastered versions of the main missions from Hitman (2016) they are not 100% the same as the new versions contain a variety of changes (reactive mirrors, reactive cameras, grass and crowd hiding mechanics, etc) as well as access to an arsenal of different tools and equipment (briefcases, flash weapons, etc) which change the experience along with the game play changes and map tweaksĬalling it "the same game" is myopic at best. So no, they are not "the same game", also to note that the difficulty curve and certain actions are different experiences between each. For the total experience you would still play Hitman (2016) for the fact it contains more than 50 additional escalation missions that are not part of Hitman 2 (2018) (in addition to the 1000's of different contracts available) ![]() Not only are both games physically seperated but so are the achievements, so for an achievement hunter you would complete both games. Not entirely accurate, and certainly not from a pure functional aspect ![]()
